An incredibly special piece from Monitaly, the Fatigue Shorts in Handwoven African Cloth. The fit takes inspiration from military fatigues - relaxed and roomy fit with large patch pockets on the front and two, flap pockets with buttons on the back. Double stitching is used throughout, with clean internal bindin. Complete with Military-Standard melamine buttons and a zip fly.
A very special fabric, this cloth is made out of several narrow panels being sewn together. Made by nomadic tribesmen, using small looms that can be carried, since they don’t have a certain place or machinery. It’s more convenient for them to hand-weave narrow panels in a certain length wherever they are, and when they sell them to the market, they sew the panels together to make a cloth. This fabric is beautiful, one-of-a-kind art. No two pieces are exactly the same.
Care should be taken with indigo dyed fabric, especially when new. Expect some colour transfer and special care should be taken when washing.
