Founded by Michael Drake in East London in 1977, near the silk weaving heritage of Spitalfields, the company initially focused on men’s scarves, shawls, and plaids. It quickly expanded its offerings to include handmade ties and handkerchiefs, earning a reputation for quality among luxury boutiques.
Today, Drakes continues this legacy by producing soft tailoring in Italy, traditional knitwear in Scotland, and shirts in their own factory in Somerset. They also offer a premium range of jersey fabrics and a wide array of garments and accessories, all embodying their ethos of 'Relaxed Elegance.'
