AW24 | The Colour Edit
Back to BlogPosted: 1 month ago
As we make the transition to AW24, we see a switch in our desired colour palette and find ourselves drawn to more dense, rich and warm tones. Typically an autumn colour palette captures deep reds, burnt orange, golden yellows, forest greens, and rich browns alongside soft neutrals. Together these colours harmonise to create a blend of warmth and earthiness that is perfect for evoking the cosy inviting feeling of autumn.
We’ve pulled together some key pieces from our latest arrivals to help inspire your transition to autumn/winter dressing.
-
Deep Red/Burgundy
Evoking the vibrant colours of falling leaves, deep reds like cranberry or burgundy bring warmth and richness to the palette.
Burnt Orange and Rust
These shades represent the turning leaves and pumpkin tones, adding a cosy, earthy feel to the palette.
Golden Yellows
Mustard or golden shades mimic the late autumn sun and the yellowing leaves, providing a warm, glowing contrast.
Olive/Forest Greens
These muted greens suggest the remnants of summer and the earthy tones of moss and foliage, grounding the palette.
Rich Browns
Shades like chestnut, cinnamon, and caramel bring in the earthy, woody tones, adding depth and a natural element.
Soft Neutrals
Creamy beige, taupe, and warm greys serve as a backdrop, balancing the richer colours and adding a soft, subtle touch to the palette.
Dark Staples
Black and Navy can be a striking addition to an autumn colour palette, adding depth and contrast to the warm tones typically associated with the season.
